Sydney graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science and Masters degree in Accounting.  Sydney has spent the last 25 years working in various areas of accounting and tax. 

 

She began her career in public accounting as an auditor with Ernst & Young LLP in Tampa.  Upon returning home to the Venice area, Sydney grew her financial accounting experience working for a publicly traded service company in Sarasota, and then spent several years as CFO at the Gulf Coast Community Foundation in Venice.  Sydney has spent the last 15 years growing her tax and public accounting practice that continues today.

 

She also serves her community as a second term board member with The Loveland Center, whose mission is to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live their lives to the fullest. 

Sydney grew up in the Venice community, attending elementary through high school in Venice.  Sydney and her husband, Trent, live in Venice where he owns a men's clothing store (Captain's Landing) on Venice Avenue and in Punta Gorda.  Sydney and Trent have one son, Trent Jr. who attends college at the University of Central Florida. When not hard at work, you  can guarantee you will find Sydney traveling somewhere around the world with her husband and son.
